I always hate reading what I write about myself, because 15 minutes after I write it I never feel like it encompasses me as a person, but how could I ever sum myself up in X amount of words.

I just bought a house in Ferndale and it's weird having roots somewhere for the first time in awhile. I just turned 30 and couldn't be happier about it. I like to cook, and try to keep it healthy when I can. I don't have a tattoo but still want one. I've been known to have a beer or two at the W.A.B. I love the snow, and peas. I like to grill even when it's raining. I'm addicted to organizing my iTunes library. This could go on forever.

I work, take care of my daughter and ride my motorcycle.

i am a pretty awesome character if i do say so myself. what would you think if i didn't. i suppose some people are leaders and some people are followers. i like to think of myself in the middle or maybe a loner. if i have something to say i will say it, but most of the time most of the things people talk about are so trite that it seems pointless. i don't want to call myself a polarizing person at all, but it would seem that for myself and most people we either click and you get all my subtle, sarcastic jokes or you don't. but it is really terrific to be able to connect with someone and therefore be ones self as opposed to this neurotic theatrical performance that we all play with each other. though not to imply that i am one of the worlds greatest actors. i can be. or i can chose not to be. well that was quite an indulgence in stream of consciences...

After many disappointments dating I'm just looking for friends.

I'm in the middle of an enormous and inspiring life transition. It's pretty much the biggest thing that describes me right now. I'm completely starting over, ending one career and tenaciously pursuing another. I have this endless motivation and very defined passion for what I'm doing, that I love sharing with anyone who really wants to know about it (it's a little deep).

I'm a vegan, that's another huge part of who I am. Because I'm a vegan, I love to cook. My favorite thing to do is put on my apron, invite some friends over, pour some wine, and impress them all with an entire dinner minus animal products. I also love grocery shopping. I could spend hours wandering around and looking at ingredients.

I try to live by my favorite quote from Ghandi - 'What we do and what we are capable of doing, would suffice to solve most of the world's problems." It's important to me that I make some small positive impact on the world everyday. I spend my Sundays at a cancer hospital, caring for oncology patients. I'm starting to advocate for cancer awareness through the American Cancer Society. I maintain two of those yellow doggie banks for the Humane Society. I volunteer at Sasha Farm, for VegMichigan, and for Habitat for Humanity. Whatever I can do to mix some positives in with all the negatives. I like to imagine what could happen if everyone pitched in a little.

I hate TV. I only use mine to watch important events. I just think it's turned into a sad way to spend time. I love fun. I'm a loyal fan of Downtown Detroit and I prefer to hang out there over anywhere else around here. I love traveling. I took an Italian language class for two years, just for fun. I've never been to Europe but I want to go to Italy someday to practice my skills. I love laughter. I've been told a million times that I have the best laugh ever.

I'm lucky to have a bunch of really, truly, remarkable friends that make my life wonderfully fulfilling. I spend a typical weekend night doing something fun with them. Weekend brunch is also very important to me. I have two awesome cats, Calvin and Peanut. I lost my 16 year old American Eskimo last fall and I miss her every day.

I didn't know how to start writing this at first but now I'm finding that this is fun and I could go on forever. So, I think I should probably stop here and just say that this is me in a nutshell. :)

My favorite fruit is pineapple. I am laid back and I love to have fun. I love to laugh. I can't stand cats and the same typically goes for them. I love mid-afternoon naps. I have naturally curly hair and wish for nothing different. I've donated my hair three times with probably many more to come. I love photography. I regularly follow MLB, NHL, golf, tennis, college football and college basketball. I really enjoy cooking and baking (but hate the clean up!). I love my family and friends and I would do anything for them.

I'm a big people watcher. My least favorite household chore is washing dishes. Snowmobiling and skiing are my only saving grace in the winter. Summer bonfires are the best. I love to golf and have withdrawls in the off season. Christmas and 4th of July are my favorite holidays. I love the smell of coffee, but don't like the taste. I am one of the biggest Detroit Tigers fans you'll ever meet :)

I could live on chocolate ice cream and hamburgers. I am from a small town and I'm a country girl at heart. Summer is my absolute favorite time of year. I'm a dork and love laying under the stars during the summer. Mexican is my favorite cusine with Italian in a close second.
I can't stand weak hand shakes. I love big bear hugs. I believe people who don't use cruise shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Over the years I have started to realize who I am and who I am not. It has taken me 20+ years to realize that I will continue to become a better version of me as I grow. I am the youngest of 3 children. My Mother is a nurse, so I was raised in a nuturing family. My parents have always taught me that it doesn't matter what I do, as long as I am happy. Although I can be very mouthy and stubburn, I can also be very open and willing to try new things, and I also am aware of when it is time to just shut my mouth.

Back in school for the third go round. This time I'm working on my BSN(bachelors of Science in Nursing), the first two times I received a culinary arts degree and a BA in philosophy. I think that the nursing thing is going to be the best fit for me.

I've worked in the restaurant industry for half my life. When I got my culinary degree I was working as a line cook but then started loosing my love for the art. So I went back to the front of the house where I could work a lot less hours and make a lot more money. But I still love to cook which is the important thing.

I am a market researcher. I also go to grad school at Oakland. I'm probably going to get another masters after that, too.

I like sappy music and prog and older stuff, of course.

Interests: Education. Travel. Going up north. Cozy fires. Green tea, wine, microbrews. Coffee shops. Art and indie films/music. Tennis.

Hey all I'm a pretty laid back down to earth guy. I love playing my piano and guitar when I'm not working. I am an IT guy for my m-f job. I really enjoy writing something to film as i like to bring things written on paper to life. I'm not in to games and I pretty much tell it like it is, which means I can be very far from politically correct at times! I have relatively no baggage, no psycho ex, no kids, just a few minor quirks. All my shots are up to date and I am paper trained. I'm VERY open minded to boot, as i don't judge people for tattoos, piercings, lifestyles, vices and what not. Only thing I may be a tad non open minded about is that I'm not a fan of rail thin ladies. I wont turn one down if its a perfect match of course, as I do like ladies that are tall with a figure (Jessica Rabbit !!). I'm a fan of the hourglass but, again it's preference and not mandatory.
My ideal match would either assist me in filming (in front of or behind the camera) and doing stage or be supportive. I do like kids as I'm a kid at heart but, I don't plan on having any of my own.

I'm not really sure if I'm even looking for something. I know for sure though that once I find it, it'll be real! I just need someone in my life whom I can depend on and can accept me for all my faults and not just the ones they choose too accept.

I am someone who is generally happy with my life and things that are going on with it. I choose my friends somewhat selectively based on whether or not they are a good influence to me and on my life. I am happy with the way things are, but if I can find someone to share it with, that would be awesome! I am currently working as a custodian in the Birmingham school district and I enjoy what I do. It is not too terribly difficult but the pay is not awesome. Yet somehow, I always end up having a good time with my co-workers, which helps the day go by noticeably smoother and quicker. I am also looking to one day go back to college. I am about a third of the way done with school in terms of credits. I had a 3.2 GPA and would like to continue my studies to become an elementary school teacher. That would be a great thing as well.

I enjoy seeing a band, sharing in good food and good drinks, the company of interesting friends, a trip to an art show, a stroll thru the park, or just watching a dvd. I don't mind if you consider yourself old-fashioned or modern, boring or hip. Whatever you are, just be you. Challenge me.

I run a dance organization called Swing Detroit, as well as teach CPR/First Aid, and other American Red Cross Certifications. Swing Detroit takes up a good portion of my time!

I have an awesome dance partner that I love working with, and teach professionally in Ferndale, Warren, Wixom, Windsor, and Ann Arbor. I am always looking for new places to teach and compete!

I love to keep busy, organize game nights, where a group of us play Settlers of Catan, Set, Euchre, Chess, Apples to Apples, Taboo, Charades, and other fun games. These usually happen in Ferndale and Downtown Detroit, although I would love to have some in Ann Arbor soon!

Movies can be fun! I love clubs of all types. I smile more than I frown, and am not dumb as bricks, which to me deserves brownie points in this day and age!

I spend my spare time listening to music, reading, pondering. I think too much. I have a strange sense of humor.

I really don't know what I'm looking for right now. Maybe a friend to spend time with when I have free time, watch movies, drink tea (or sometimes beer) with, and have conversations about random things.

I am. I am. damn that's a hard thing to write about. I am honest, and down to earth, shy, a genuine nice guy ( at least according to my friends) I always try to do the right thing and treat people the way I want to be treated. I have a wide variety of interests; hunting, fishing, cars, gardening, cooking, art, music, film, reading, camping in W.V.. I could care less for sports, I don't sit around and watch TV but I do love PBS. I listen to NPR, (I love P.H.C.) and at the same time have Five Finger Death Punch in the CD player. I would be as interested in going to the DFT as I would be to see a band play at Paychecks. The thing that I am seeking most in a partner in crime is character and intelligence. if there is no conversation there is nothing. a potential match automatically scores points if she is well read and a beer drinker.

I assumed I was enough of an exhibitionist with my full scale, micro, and photo blogging (mostly via facebook, twitter, and picasa) but the bf <<a_j_g>> convinced me that this is the site for meeting interesting locals. I am a active guy, never married with no kids. I keep myself busy with work, sailing, motorcycles, snowboarding, and socializing with friends. My personality is such that I usually have a half dozen projects/interests going at the same time (it keeps things interesting.) I'm pretty high-energy so I like being active.

I am a full-time sign language interpreter, which taps into both sides of my brain.
I am a part-time video editor, which also taps into both sides of my brain.

I am a home owner, which (typically) empowers me.
I am a dog owner, which (typically) relaxes me.

I am a single woman, but I am not alone.

I am happy, fulfilled, exhausted, empowered, busy, challenged, excited and busy yet again. All in all - I'm feeling pretty good about my life.

5/20: I have firmly and finally decided that i wish only to associate with those that beleive that there is a God has accepted his son Jesus Christ as their savior and actively participates in worship. To some this may be rude, but i wish to get to know someone on a more personal spiritual level. Someone who beleives that the lord is at the center and consistantly puts him there. I am by no means in any rush for any commitment. What i am committed to is that he will place that special someone in my path somewhere sometime. To give you a smidgin of idea of know i am would be to merely say a few short words. I think of others at times a lot more than i think of myself. yeah i will admit there are not very many of us out there. mostly they're self centered idiots that only want whats best and don't give a darn about you. I am definately not one of those. I am also very laid back. I do not get uptight about anything that is natural. if it can happen at some point it will happen. Lastly and most important i am who i am today. not yesterday. in the last 2 yrs i have come a long way in terms of getting away from things and people who were not a positive influence in my life.
I am a christian and am quite active in church gatherings and different groups. i find that it best occupies my time and keeps my mind filled with positive thought instead of something negative.
I am a divorced father of 2 little girls who mean the world to me. Unfortunately i only get to see them a few times month, but minutes with them are priceless and i couldn't ask for anything more satisfying in the world.
I am a very patient, kind hearted, laid back loving individual. As most would say that i would forgo myself to meet the needs of others. I do enjoy helping people.
I am a very open person. I respect others and myself as an open book. Our futures are unwritten and the decisions we make whether good or bad define who we are and who will become. I am not here to expect that someone who is out there for me is going to be perfect. We all are not perfect. Perfect in many ways as we see ourselves wanting to be with someone yes, but each of us has some flaws that have made us for who we are.
To describe myself as spontaneous would be a good term. I like to get out and do things. Wether that be to go to the park or to go shoot pool somewhere, grab our bikes and hit the trails stroll through a downtown, or grab a movie and curl up on the couch to enjoy. ther is too much in this life to do than to sit and watch it drift away to later say that you haven't done anything at all.
I also enjoy a great camping or canoeing weekend out in the woods. i love to camp and can build a pretty mean fire to keep us warm.
